Automatic Dual-Feed Powder VFFS Packaging Machine for Flour & Semolina: A Case Study from Jordan

release time:

2026-09-30

Discover our Jordan case study on the LD-620D powder VFFS machine. Features dual gravity feeding for flour and semolina, 50L auger filler, and 3kg gusset pouch forming.

Client Profile

  • Industry: Grain Milling & Bakery Food Processing

  • Location: Jordan

  • Target Material: Wheat Flour & Semolina (Independent non-mixed feeding)

  • Pack Size & Type: 1kg - 3kg Gusset Stand-up Bags (Rolled film forming)

  • Bag Dimensions: Width 65 - 300mm, Length 60 - 450mm

  • Key Equipment: LD-620D VFFS Bagging Machine + 50L Auger Filler + Product Conveyor

The Challenge: Independent Dual Powder Infeed Without Cross-Contamination

A prominent grain processing factory in Jordan required a high-capacity Vertical Form Fill Seal (VFFS) solution to package both refined wheat flour and semolina into large 1kg-3kg gusset pouches:

1. Dual Independent Infeeds: The client needed to package two distinct grain powders on a single machine line without mixing or cross-contaminating the ingredients during batch runs.

2. Gravity-Fed System (No Screw Elevator): Due to the factory floor height and gravity-flow silo layout, the dosing system had to receive raw materials via top-fed gravity hoppers rather than standard inclined screw elevators.

3. Large Gusset Pouch Formation: The machine needed to form crisp, stable gusset stand-up bags directly from roll film without pre-made zippers, supporting large dimensions up to 300mm wide by 450mm long.

4. Environmental Stability: The equipment had to operate continuously and reliably under Mediterranean high ambient temperatures (32°C-35°C).

To meet these strict operational criteria, Vicanpack custom-engineered a dual-infeed powder vertical form fill seal packaging machine based on our heavy-duty LD-620D platform.

The Solution: Customized LD-620D Dual-Feed Auger VFFS System

Our engineering team designed an end-to-end automatic pouch-making and dosing line tailored for flour and semolina processing:

1. Independent Dual-Infeed Gravity Hopper

Features dual intake ports engineered for separate flour and semolina silo connections, eliminating cross-contamination while maximizing material flow.

2. 50L Precision Servo Auger Filler

Accommodates interchangeable dosing screws for flexible metering from 5g up to 3000g (3kg). Achieves high accuracy (≤ ±0.5%) without crushing delicate grain particles.

3. LD-620D Heavy-Duty VFFS Bag Former

Equipped with a precision servo film-pulling mechanism, photoelectric mark tracking, and digital PID temperature control. Easily forms sturdy 3kg gusset stand-up bags.

4. Intelligent Touchscreen HMI & PLC Control

Operators can instantly adjust bag length and feeding parameters on the screen. Bag width is quickly modified by changing the former.

5. Dust Extraction & Output Conveyor

An integrated vacuum dust collector prevents powder airborne drift during sealing, while a 300mm inclined belt conveyor transfers finished 3kg pouches directly to cartoning stations.

Client Review & Testimonial

"Vicanpack’s LD-620D machine perfectly solved our independent feeding requirement for flour and semolina. The dual gravity-feed hopper fits seamlessly into our factory height layout, and the online engineering support made installation smooth and effortless. The gusset pouches look outstanding on retail shelves!"
